Meet Katie
Katie has been a student of the horse for over 30 years. Riding before she could walk. She grew up on a large farm outside of Ann Arbor, that had all the normal farm animals - pigs, cattle and of course, horses. Her horses were not only her constant companions but, they needed to be able to do it all - trail, show (english and western), speed events and earn their keep by working cattle.
Katie has a gift for working with horses, helping them and learning from each one she trains. Over the years she has continued her education and expanded her knowledge by attending clinics and seminars with many of the top trainers and clinicians in the country - Richard Shrake, John Lyons, Lynn Palm, Pat Parelli, Buck Brannaman, Robert Miller D.V.M., Monte Roberts and Joe Wolters - just to name a few. She has ridden in several Ray Hunt clinics (public and private), P.N.H. clinics and workshops Level 1 and 2, a Bryan Neubert clinic, Peter Campbell clinics (public and 8-day private) and with James Shaw.
Katie and Sweetwater Farm have hosted many clinics and workshops, to help people with their horses.
